I just finished a 10-minute monologue/scene that I am tentatively calling Boardwalk. Give me a while to stew on it before I put it up on the site.
I have a slight nagging at the back of my mind, because I never would have written this if I hadn’t seen a posting for a request for this particular kind of script. Is it ethical to write “for hire” as a playwright?
I convinced myself to write it because the first idea that came to mind was so silly, so insane, and so me, that it didn’t matter if some of the objects in the scene were a contest requirement. It’s something I like a lot, and it isn’t remotely hack work. So I’m comfortable with it.
And it may be up on the site soon, I’ll let you know!
